“When things change inside you, things change around you – Unknown”
I have been working in the behavioral health field for 6 years with children and adolescents who are living with various disorders and environmental struggles. I graduated with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a focus on children and adolescents from Marquette University. I also have as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with double minors in social work and human relations from the University of Iowa (Go Hawks!) I am currently nationally board certified in counseling, as well as being a Licensed Professional Counselor with the state of Wisconsin. I have experience working individually with people ages 6-18, and I have worked closely with my client’s parents as well as families. I take a person-centered, strengths-based approach to meet clients where they are. I believe building a strong relationship is the foundation of therapy. I think it is important to maintain a non-judgmental stance and instead look through a lens of curiosity throughout life, and especially in therapy. I am trauma informed and knowledgeable in both CBT and DBT, including specific interventions for OCD, Anxiety, Depression as well as self-harm and suicidality. The thing I love most about being a therapist is watching my clients grow and having the opportunity to be part of their journey. I pride myself on the passion I have for what I do, and how that translates into my ability to advocate for my clients.
